Fine wine grapes raised in two artisan vineyards at the west end of the Yakima Valley show how cool microclimates can produce lovely flavors of melon and apple wrapped in a full-bodied, silky finish like many crafted red wines. Five days of skin contact, followed by natural fermentation and barrel aging sûr lies, contribute to complexity and its ability to age in a proper cellar.
