2022 :Nota Bene Arianses Vineyard Red Blend - Wahluke Slope

Merlot is one of the most successful varietals on the Wahluke Slope. This was no secret to Arianses Vineyard owner Bruce Zunzer when planting vines in 1998. This Merlot-dominant wine was crafted around the varietal’s intriguing dark-berry flavors, while the Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot contribute beautifully to the herbal complexity and elegant finish.

• 27% Cabernet Franc (Arianses Vineyard)
• 23% Petit Verdot (Arianses Vineyard)

Barrels: This wine was aged 22 months in seasoned Export-style oak barriques from Alain Fouquet, Tonnellerie Doreau and Vernou, and supplemented with French oak infusion from XtraChêne with 1/6^th influence from a once used Richelieu barrique on the Merlot.
