2009 Mourvèdre - Stillwater Creek Vineyard : Columbia Valley
2009 Mourvèdre - Stillwater Creek Vineyard : Columbia Valley
The view from the top of Stillwater Creek Vineyard is spectacular on a warm fall day with the sun low on the horizon and the bouquet of fresh grapes in the wind. The Royal Slope opens below as the vineyard rows of ripe fruit wait to be picked. Our Mourvèdre is one of the last Rhone varietals to mature at this cool location with nearly 1000 feet of elevation. This varietal tends to lean towards pepper and spice in the finish when raised on the cool side. This wine is also a component of our Syrah and Una Notte. We hope you like it alone too.
Bottled on 7/16/11; Only 25 cases were produced.
