2007 Syrah - Ciel du Cheval Vineyard : Red Mountain
The stars aligned for us in the fall of 2007 and we were able to source Syrah and Viognier on the same day at Ciel du Cheval Vineyards. This gave us the opportunity to co-ferment these two Rhône varietals. The Viognier helps to stabilize the color early in the life of the wine and adds a touch of floral sent to the nose. The Syrah is rich and deep with plenty of tannin to give it length in the palate and the cellar. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
