2008 Syrah - Ciel du Cheval Vineyard : Red Mountain

We’ve come to expect rich dark fruit in our Syrah from Ciel du Cheval Vineyard…andmaybe just a few savory notes to keep us guessing. This is a wonderful wine to enjoy with grilledmeats, lamb and steaks over mesquite. We’ve also added just enough Grenache from Stone TreeVineyard to peak your interest and accent the nose. Expect dense fruit and spice on a structure ofrich tannins that will give this wine length on the pallet and in the cellar. Bottled on 6/26/10; 50cases were produced; pH 3.60, TA 6.38 g/L

95% Syrah (Ciel du Cheval Vineyard)
5% Grenache (Stone Tree Vineyard) 

Barrels: This wine was aged for 22 months in 50% new French oak from Tonnellerie Vernou and 50%seasoned American oak barrels by Saury.
