2012 Miscela : Columbia Valley
2012 Miscela : Columbia Valley
True to the spirit of this wine...Miscela is Italian for "blend"...we see how grapes from many different vineyards can come together to make a satisfying Bordeaux style blend. This Cabernet heavy blend was sourced from five different vineyards in Eastern Washington with the majority component sourced from Stone Tree Vineyard on the Wahluke Slope. We followed this with a generous helping of Merlot from Arianses Vineyard near Mattawa, Malbec from Red Mountain, and Cab Franc from each end of the Yakima Valley; Contributions from these diverse Vineyards compel us to call this wine "Washington State in a glass".
Bottled on 7/27/14; 137 cases were produced; Alcohol: 14.97%; pH 3.60, TA 5.99g/L
55% Cabernet Sauvignon (Stone Tree Vineyard)
24% Merlot (Arianses Vineyard)
12% Malbec (Heart of the Hill Vineyard)
