Kiona Vineyard has been the source of many fine wines in the last 20 years due to the vision ofthe Williams family and the terroir of their vineyards on Red Mountain. Scott Williams nurtured thisMourvèdre to maturity in the fall of 2007 at their Heart of the Hill vineyard on Sunset Road.This cousin of Syrah is loaded with spicy Rhône character and lots of white pepper. This winehas sufficient depth of structure to give it a long life in the cellar.
100% Mourvèdre (Kiona Heart of the Hill Vineyard)
Bottled on 6/27/09; only 25 cases were produced. This wine was aged for 21 months in a once used Saury American oak barrel.
