This month's special offer is a mini-vertical of Arianses Vineyard wines. Both are down to the last few cases because they have been such pleasing wines. They both show the soft elegance of Arianses, but in different ways. The 2014 Vintage is Cabernet Sauvignon heavy and the 2015 is Merlot heavy. In addition to those varietals, both wines have significant contributions of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.

2014 Arianses Vineyard
We proudly present another interesting vintage from Arianses Vineyard near Desert Air along the Columbia River just south of Mattawa. Special thanks to vineyard owner Bruce Zunser for his care and vision in growing the components to offer us this Bordeaux style blend. Cab is dominant, but all varietals offer significant sensory components. The complexity and fruit forward nature of this wine are achieved with multi-yeast fermentations, bâtonage, and early integration through blending.  We think you’ll enjoy the fruits of our labor. Bottled 7/23/16; 100 cases produced; Alcohol: 14.59%; pH 3.76, TA 6.41 g/L.

41% Cabernet Sauvignon (Arianses Vineyard)
29% Merlot (Arianses Vineyard)
20% Petit Verdot (Arianses Vineyard)
10% Cabernet Franc (Arianses Vineyard)

Barrels: This wine was aged 22 months in Export-style barrels of 43% new French oak from Ton. Vernou, 14% once used oak from Alain Fouquet, and the balance seasoned barrels from Ton. de Jarnac.
