2019 MCM Wine Company Superlio Viognier – Dineen Vineyard: Yakima Valley
We appreciated this wine so much as an almost identical blend in 2017 that we had to explore its attributes again in 2019. It is composed of two Rhône whites, Viognier and Roussanne, sourced from Dineen Vineyard in Zillah, Washington. The wine began its life with 5 days of skin contact and was fermented naturally in seasoned French oak barrels. There was plenty of lees contact with regular early stirring. ML is complete and adds depth and complexity. Melon and tropical fruits round out the flavor profile and contribute to an attractive floral bouquet.
