We are offering this vertical trio of Cabernet Franc vintages because we are so pleased with the way these wines are drinking. We also think this varietal is not as well appreciated as it should be. Therefore, this is a little walk on the wild side for wine drinkers this month. We hope you will be open to exploring new flavor profiles in wines from Washington State.
2013 Cabernet Franc - Yakima Valley
A blend of two disparate vineyards; 66% Dineen Vineyard on the west end of the Yakima Valley and 34% from Ciel du Cheval Vineyard on far east end of the valley, cool and warm locations respectively.
Wine Advocate Review
Leafy herbs, tobacco and red and black currents all emerge from the 2013 Yakima Valley Cabernet Franc, and it's a forward, charming, streamlined effort to drink over the coming 5-6 years. 88 Points — Jeb Dunnuck
2014 Cabernet Franc: Dineen Vineyard - Yakima Valley
This vintage is 100% Cabernet Franc from Dineen Vineyard. We are seeing these vines maturing and the complexity of the wines are showing the advantages of older vines.
2015 Cabernet Franc: Dineen Vineyard - Yakima Valley
This is the warmest year of the decade and the current record holding year for warmest recorded growing season for Washington State wines. Our Cab Franc developed well in this cooler location. Notes of cherries and other red fruit come forward.
